Last Saturday was a field trip to the Buena Vista dump for the Santa Cruz County master composters class. The tour featured the wood-scrap-to-mulch machines and the foodscrap composting process, managed by Vision Recycling. I will admit to a certain 5-year-old boyhood fascination with gigantic wood-mashing machinery, but nonetheless, this tour was cool.
